Winter in the City. My hands are getting cold. Doesn’t seem to be a shadow in the streets.

Walking on the sidewalk, colder  than the frost on a champagne glass. The sun is long time ago hidden behind the mountains.

The noise of traffic is my background and the rain my new problem. Who cares.

Looking sharp tonight, full of energy. I want to walk in every corner of this city. First stop downtown.

Turning right to the pedestrian area. A change of scenery.

Shopping windows, lights everywhere, people laughing and holding hands. Keeping a steady pace, walking to my destination,

I enjoy the female glances, as I lift my jacket’s collar. At night it’s a different world. All tiring thoughts are trapped in a little box I left back home.

The rain stopped.

Entering the Cafe I spotted all familiar faces. Niko lift up his hand to point me to the right direction. She was there too.

Second night in a row, I was sure that something is going on. The place was packed, saluting friends with little nods as I made my way to our table.

I knew that this night is going to be special.

“I like your smile”, I wispered to her ear, and sat next to her holding my Panama Grand Cru Espresso.

“Thank you” she answered turning her body towards me.

I like your Coffeedence she said and took a sip of my fine coffee.

We were talking for hours, about our jobs, our journeys, our friends.

“Hungry?”  I asked. Kind of, she replied and we both stood up.

We stepped out of the cafe, I nodded to a taxi.

“Fancy Asian Cusine?”

Heading north, to an excellent Indonesian restaurant. She was holding my arm like we knew each other for years.
