Many are the reasons that drives us to love Moka Pot!<\/p>\n

Its simplicity, its history but also its adorable little gurgle. We also like the fact that it can produce a pretty exquisite espresso for less than 50\u20ac. Not bad \u00a0at all! Don’t you think?<\/p>\n


\nWhat You Will Need<\/strong> ! Freshly roasted coffee\/ home Grinder<\/a> \/ Moka pot<\/a> , tamper<\/a>.
\nTIP<\/strong> : Try the Moka pot espresso machine with coffees from Tanzania , Sumatra, El Salvador, Brasil. Also recommend Genesis, Prologue, Synthesis Blends for delicious espresso and Latte<\/p>\n

STEP<\/strong> ONE<\/strong> Grind about 20-22 grams of coffee about as fine as you would a shot of espresso.<\/p>\n

\nSTEP<\/strong> TWO<\/strong> Fill the bottom half of your Moka pot with water that\u2019s fresh off the boil<\/p>\n

\nSTEP<\/strong> THREE<\/strong> Place the Moka pot\u2019s metal portafilter, which resemples a cap, inside the bottom component.
\nSTEP<\/strong> FOUR<\/strong> Add your coffee and give it a gentle shake to settle it evenly. Use your index finger to distribute the coffee.<\/p>\n

\nSTEP<\/strong> FIVE<\/strong> Screw on the Moka pot\u2019s spouted top. Caution! The bottom chamber will be hot.<\/p>\n

\nSTEP<\/strong> SIX<\/strong> Place the pot on a stove on medium heat. Leave the top lid open.<\/p>\n

\nSTEP<\/strong> SEVEN<\/strong> The coffee will begin to come out and you will hear a puffing sound and see a rich-brown stream that will get progressively lighter in color.( If it explodes upward, your water\u2019s too hot, if it burbles lethargically, turn up your flame.) Once the stream is the color of yellow honey, remove from heat source with hot pads and close the lid.<\/p>\n

\nSTEP<\/strong> EIGHT<\/strong> Run under cold tap water to stop extraction.<\/p>\n

TIP<\/strong>: We do this to prevent the coffee from developing a metallic taste. The idea here is to get a relatively small amount of coffee which is very concentrated and rich.
\nSTEP<\/strong> NINE<\/strong> You may serve your coffee from the Moka Pot to the cups or to dilute with hot water depending on preference.<\/p>\n
